Joshua Okyere

Joshua Okyere is a public health researcher with advanced training in population health and a strong focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He holds an MPhil in Population Health Science and is currently a PhD candidate in Public Health. His research spans NCD prevention and management across the life course, with particular emphasis on health systems strengthening and the integration of palliative care into NCD services in low- and middle-income settings. Joshua has an extensive research portfolio, with over 140 peer-reviewed publications, two book chapters, and one policy brief, and a cumulative citation count of approximately 2,175. He has previously worked as a Research Fellow with a non-governmental organization in Ghana. He currently serves as the Country Project Coordinator for the Ghana arm of the GIN NCDs Study, a prospective longitudinal population-based cohort study examining the epidemiology and trajectories of NCDs across Ghana, India, and Nepal.
