Developing Africa NCD Watch as a future hub for insights

Developing Africa NCD Watch
as a future hub for insights

Our goal is to build a trusted space where policymakers, researchers, and health organizations can access clear, Africa-focused knowledge on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, dementia, hypertension, cancers, among others

Why Our Work Matters

NCDs cause over 41 million deaths every year

That is 74% of all global deaths, with cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases being the leading contributors.

More than 85% of premature NCD deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries

African countries carry a rapidly rising burden, driven by urbanization, lifestyle risk factors, and limited early-detection systems.

Our Strategic
Approach
